The Nobu hotel opened it’s doors for the first time in Marbella on the 29th of March 2018. The hotel chain has had great success all around the globe with hotels in locations such as Las Vegas, Miami, Manila, London, Ibiza and now opening in Marbella. The high end hotel chain was created in 2009 by the famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Hollywood producer Meir Teper and the world renown award wining actor Robert De Niro. Nobu opened his first restaurant in Los Angeles in 1987, the restaurant became a hotspot for celebrities and this is also where he met Robert De Niro, the friendship later evolved to a business partnership and there are currently 38 restaurants and hotels located around the world. The friendship also landed chef Nobu a couple of movie roles such as in the movie Casino which was released in 1995, Nobu played a wealthy business man who visited Robert De Niro’s casino.
This trendy boutique hotel will have the infamous Nobu restaurant which specializes in Japanese and Peruvian food and is situated on the Golden Mile, next to amazing beaches and forms part of the prestigious Puento Romano complex which also includes the 5* namesake hotel, several restaurants of which some have Michelin stars and two beach clubs.
